Terms & Conditions


Contractor and Homeowner obligations:
* Square foot prices on installations of entire floors, repairs of old floors, patches of old floors, or floors in new homes do not include labor costs associated with moving items outside of the perimeter of the contracted space where flooring is to be laid, nor does the square foot price include costs associated with undercutting jambs, trim base, or any other molding in the perimeter of the contracted space.
* The contractor will, include 1 ½ hours of labor undercutting jobs, moving items outside of the working and contracted space. This time will start upon arrival on the jobsite and is limited to 1 ½ once unless other parts in the contract require further work in the contracted space at a later date, e.g. sanding and finishing months after the installation.
* The contractor is obligated to start the job the specified start-time as agreed upon during negotiation. The contractor and the homeowner must give one-week notice if any changes in the schedule will take effect. If the notice is not given and either the contractor or the homeowner is responsible and the other party has made scheduling arrangements at a later date, which would conflict with re-scheduling with this contract, scheduling shall be re-negotiated between the two parties.
* Water damage is outside, above, and beyond the control of the contractor. If water damage to the flooring, the contractor will offer a bid or estimated to fix and repair the flooring at a fair market price, but will not take fault in the problem. Other problems in the floor due to moisture or the lack of or extreme fluctuations in moisture are the responsibilities of the homeowner. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain normal moisture conditions 8-12 % moisture content in the space. Heating and air must be working properly prior to installation to ensure stable moisture conditions.
