The benefits are clear: your newly refinished floor is ready for traffic immediately! No more waiting one day to move the furniture back in, or up to a week before you can put back the rug. Using UV Finish your floor is ready in seconds!.

The unique 100% water-borne finish, together with a revolutionary mix of technologies, results in a finish that is:
Harder
More Protected

Beside our superior knowledge and experience, it's our commitment to historical accuracy and our attention to detail that puts us a cut above. We use wood of the exact specie, grade, width and length that was used when colonial houses were first built. That's why we've been the contractor of choice to work with organizations like Colonial Williamsburg, Museum Resources and Restoration Builders of Virginia. Hardwood Flooring Repair

Do you have hardwood flooring that is damaged and in need of some TLC? Antique Floors is extremely knowledgable and experienced with almost any situation. No matter the size of the issue, contact us and see what our recommendation is.

Hardwood flooring repairs can be very extensive. They almost always require “lace in” work. The lace in work converts a patch or wall that was moved exposing the end of the original material end cuts. We move those cuts by cutting back into the flooring presenting a new random pattern in the same spot where a patch or wall once stood. Repairs can also take shape as, what is commonly known in the restoration field as “dutchmen”. Dutchmen are square pieces serving as a plug or rectangular pieces serving as the top side of the grove as it was sanded too thin and has subsequently broken as it is now wafer thin. Our dutchmen cutout through the tongue and is glued in with polyurethane glue or epoxy binding the two boards and restoring the structural strength of the section of floor. Often over old floors this is a much more efficient method over total board replacement.
